Shannon made the weekend at the swim-up bar so much fun. The hospitality felt like visiting a friend! The beach is right there, with soft sand and warm, refreshing waves. There’s also a water-slide park beside the hotel, and the gym is pretty good. On rainy days or when the kids are restless, you’ve got the arcade and pool tables. The lounge is a great spot to watch big games like the WORLD CUP on the big screens. Having both a beach restaurant and an on-site restaurant is so convenient. Love it! 🙏❤️

The staff were wonderful throughout our stay. Bartenders, waitstaff, front desk, and housekeeping were kind, attentive, and helpful. Housekeeping took great care of the room, and the beds were very comfortable. Being right on the beach was convenient, and guests can rent chairs and umbrellas. We also liked being able to order from Seaside Bar & Grill while at the beach. The food was good, and having a solid dining option on the property was handy. The room condition didn’t meet the expectations or price of a resort. There was significant rust throughout, and the worn carpet looked and felt gross. These seemed like maintenance and management issues that had built up over time, rather than a housekeeping problem. Airflow was poor too. Anything we hung up stayed damp the whole stay, and unless we set the thermostat to 65, the room felt humid and uncomfortable. There are real positives here, especially the staff, location, beach amenities, and Seaside Shore Restaurant, but they didn’t make up for the condition of the rooms at this price. I visit the island often, and would personally save the money for an Airbnb, a bayside hotel, or even Port Isabel. If the pools and beach are your main draw, a day pass may be a better value.

After a nightmare booking at Isla Grand Beach Resort up the road, we needed a room right away. We usually book Holiday Inns because they’ve rarely let us down. Their king suites overlooking the ocean were sold out, so we tried the competition, which was a big mistake. My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary, and in a rush I booked a double-bed ocean-view suite from the parking lot. The front desk sympathized with what had happened up the street and sorted everything out quickly. The hotel smelled lovely as we walked in. It was clean, and the employees were courteous. The bar, restaurant, and pool areas were well lit, clean, and welcoming, and the room was as expected. The only downside was the dirty outside of the ocean-facing window, which made it impossible to take photos from inside. We didn’t hear our neighbors at all and slept well after a night out. In the morning, we watched a beautiful, peaceful sunrise from the fifth floor of our building. The beach is close, and the foot-washing station was helpful for getting the sand off. Checkout was easy and parking was no problem. We’ll definitely come back with the family and won’t make the mistake of staying elsewhere again.

Rene stood out for his professionalism and upbeat attitude. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was right, making the whole experience enjoyable. The drinks were excellent, flavorful, well made, and brought out promptly. I’d recommend the place and look forward to returning.
