La Copa Inn Beach Hotel

We enjoyed our stay, and breakfast was very good. The staff were attentive about cleaning and making sure we had what we needed. The hotel is pet friendly and in a great location. Thanks to the front desk lady with the shark nails and the man who went out of his way to get dog waste bags for me. We'd recommend it and come back.

The beach access is right there, just a few steps away, and we really enjoyed the clean pool and jacuzzi. Staff were excellent, attentive, and ready to help. Our room at The Copa Inn in South Padre Island was very clean, and the beds were comfortable, but they squeaked loudly with almost any movement, which was annoying at night. Breakfast was average. The breakfast tacos seem popular, though each person gets just one and can't order more, which was disappointing. It's a great location, and the welcoming service and beach and pool area make it an easy, no-frills stay on South Padre. We'd recommend it for the convenience and service.

Breakfast is on the 4th floor, where you can sit by the windows for a good view. They have the usual cereal, yogurt, and waffles, plus tacos or omelets as the specialty. We had a sea-view double room with two queen beds on the 3rd floor, and the view was stunning. The staff were super friendly and wore beach-themed shirts. There's a private beach walk, and the pools were clean. The kids' pool was colder than the regular one, which was the only drawback. The restaurant is at the back by the pool. We had a wonderful summer stay at La Copa Inn and would recommend it to families or couples.

We had a great time and will definitely return. Our room had an extra-large balcony, and beach access was right there. The pool and hot tub were great, with a splash area that worked well for little kids. The homemade breakfast burrito was amazing, so don't skip breakfast. The food there is good, though the kitchen closed early every night when business slowed down, so check with them if you're planning to eat later. There are plenty of other places to eat, including some within walking distance for the whole family.
