Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island

We came as a family and a group of 19 friends to celebrate our babymoon, and the staff made us feel very well looked after. I’d suggest upgrading to a condo suite if you can, since I like having a kitchenette. The rooms were nice and had pretty much everything you’d expect, and the staff and hospitality were amazing. The modern, updated hotel gave me relaxing Margaritaville vibes. I wasn’t expecting a five-star hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised and really happy with our stay. There’s easy beach access, and the south end of the island felt a little quieter, which was nice for avoiding the big crowds. The pool area was really cool, with a small splash pad for babies and toddlers, and we loved the live music. The hotel restaurant was very good. There’s also a small mini mart for snacks and drinks, plus coffee and quick bites to order. A gas station is within walking distance for anything else. The rest of the island is easy to get to, just a short drive. We’d definitely return and recommend it for families or larger groups.

The view from our 12th-floor balcony was amazing, and the location was fantastic. Our spacious two-bedroom condo had lovely decor, and the staff were all friendly. We enjoyed our stay, though we got frustrated when places weren’t open when we expected. Restaurant choices were more limited than the website suggested. They don’t explain upfront that the coffee shop and cafe, which also has the only gift shop, may close early when it’s quiet. The Salty Rim food truck only operates on weekends, and the posted hours aren’t reliable. We rented a pool cabana expecting to use it until 8pm, as the website said, but at check-in were told it was only until 7pm. Condos don’t get housekeeping unless you request and pay extra. We had to find a trash bag ourselves to take the garbage out.

After our VRBO plans fell apart, we had to switch to the hotel at the last minute and were pretty stressed. Rosie turned the day around by arranging early check-in, being so pleasant, and making sure we felt welcome and cared for. Ernestro was wonderful with the parking and luggage, and his friendly manner made us feel at home. Dj was a real asset to the team. He made us feel like family, and his customer service, professionalism and kindness made us want to come back. The whole staff was fun, friendly and attentive. Margaritaville saved our trip, and we’ll definitely return. The property in South Padre Island was beautiful, clean and spacious, with lots of amenities. The location was incredibly convenient, with easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. Everything exceeded our expectations, and the stay was both relaxing and fun.

We were hosting a car show, with staff members arriving for their part and then leaving as new staff came in. Everyone at the resort was accommodating and went out of their way to keep our stay comfortable. The location is gorgeous and the pools are meticulously kept. This is definitely the place to be at South Padre Island.
