The room smelled old and musty when we walked in, and although it looked somewhat clean, it needed a proper deep clean. There was old food splattered on the walls by the counter and on the microwave, plus what I assume was vomit on the bed skirt. We asked to have that changed, but were told they had no replacement sheets on hand and would need the manager to bring some. It still hasn’t been replaced so far, though I’ll update if that changes. The shower is old and dated, with soap scum on the ledge, and the curtain could use replacing. I’d wear flip-flops in there. The carpets are stained in places too, and could probably use an update. This is two stars at most for me. If you just need a cheap, okay room to sleep in while at the beach, maybe it works. It’s definitely not a luxury place by the beach, and we took a chance after seeing some decent reviews but were disappointed.

We were surprised to find our room still being cleaned when we arrived, but a quick stop at the office got it sorted right away. Inside, it was spacious and clean, with a firm but comfortable bed, a clean restroom, and great water pressure. The AC was cold, and there were lots of TV channels, including movie channels. The exterior and grounds show that this is an older hotel, but that didn’t put us off. It’s a short drive to quiet beaches, and there are plenty of amenities within walking distance. Dogs up to 60 lbs are welcome for just $10/night, and our 55 pound pooch was very comfortable. Solid 5 stars from us.

The staff were wonderful and made sure I had what I needed throughout my stay. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and free wifi is offered to guests. The motel is dated, though, and could use some minor work. A few old outlets should be replaced, along with the wall A/C units, and there’s other wear and tear in the room. Good value for the price, and I’d stay again.

The staff worked hard and answered our calls promptly, and the room was clean inside. It was also convenient to park right at the door. The building looks old and shabby, but it was a last resort booking after I forgot to book earlier, and the staff won my respect. On a sunrise trip the next morning, I spotted blooming white flowers and a flock of seagulls from Whitecap Beach nearby. That was lovely, even though there were ants in our bathroom sink, which wasn’t a good sight. I do think the place needs renovation, but I’m grateful for the staff’s hard work.

The beds were comfortable and clean, the shower had great water pressure, and the TV channels were premium. The room was mostly clean, but my toddler’s feet turned black from the carpet, so she couldn’t go without shoes on the floor. I’d stay here again. The location was great for enjoying the beach, and there were a couple of stores and restaurants nearby, so we didn’t have to drive far for necessities.
