The view and pools were the only good parts. We found a huge dead cockroach as soon as we entered the room, which is unacceptable for a rental at this price. We were also told to leave the tennis/pickleball courts while lightly playing volleyball, even though nobody else was there or waiting. That night, security woke everyone by knocking because a 16-year-old in our group had hopped the fence to retrieve the ball after it went over. That would not have happened if we’d been allowed to use the space responsibly. We were also suddenly told wristbands cost $28 per person to stay on the property, something nobody mentioned at check-in. When I explained that, the staff member suggested I was lying. At the gatehouse we got no directions, weren’t told about the separate walking entrance and its code, and had the wrong building circled on our paperwork. Between the dirty room, poor communication, and unprofessional staff, staying at Saida Towers was a frustrating experience. I wouldn’t come back.

The layout is perfect, with the beach about 100 yards from the back gates. There are three pools, three hot tubs, four tennis courts, a shuffleboard area, and a full bar open from 8 to 11. The units are privately owned, so floor plans and prices vary. A week for two bedrooms that sleep six to eight costs roughly 3800 and up.
Jeremy was a great host and kept in touch during our stay to make sure things were running smoothly. We were on the eighth floor of tower IV at the Saida Condos, and the condo and its location were incredible. The property was clean, and we had a really nice time. We’ll stay here again. Thanks, Jeremy, for such a great experience!
We tried to wash our clothes before our dinner reservation at Liam’s, but the washer had no out-of-order sign and didn’t spin the clothes. I called Island services, and all they could say was they were sorry. They said the washers and dryers are leased from a company in Corpus Christi and there was nothing they could do. I had to wring out my clothes by hand and missed my reservation after driving 1,300 miles. I was very disappointed that they didn’t even send anyone to put up a sign saying the machine was broken.
The view is gorgeous, but the condo smelled bad and felt outdated, and responses to problems came late or not at all. I left an original review with Airbnb, but it was changed without using my words. I’ve stayed elsewhere in South Padre with a view as good as the one from Saida Towers and a nicer interior. You pay for the view and don’t get much else in return. I’d think twice before staying here.
