Retama Landing Condominium 4

The place was nasty. There was sand underfoot, hair in the bathtub and on the sheets in both rooms, and stained towels. At check-in, scheduled for 4pm, we waited until then, entered the code, and found belongings everywhere, including backpacks and blankets. We texted our host and waited a long time for a response. They said they'd contact the local host, and while we waited a cleaning crew arrived and spent 20 minutes "cleaning." They only picked things up; the place wasn't actually cleaned. We always go by reviews, but these must have been fake or AI because this place was so disgusting. When we asked for a credit or refund for at least the first night, they said they were working toward a resolution, then ultimately refused to fix anything or accommodate us, saying they "hope we understand??" Really? Is that how you treat customers? DO NOT STAY HERE (Retama Landing #2), OR USE VACASA AS YOUR HOST! We won't use this host again. We also filed a complaint with Airbnb, and if they don't take care of it, we won't use them again either.
