Pear Tree Inn Paducah

We picked this older hotel for one night on our Minnesota to Georgia road trip, mainly because recent reviews mentioned clean rooms. Ours was spacious, clean, and smelled fresh, with a large bathroom and full tub and shower. The KING bed was very comfortable, and the pillows and linens were soft and fresh. I liked that the blanket was tucked inside the sheets since I’m always leery of hotel comforters. Both women we spoke with made check-in easy and were wonderful. There was a hot breakfast, and the dining area was clean and welcoming. I told the hostess how pleasant it was, and she said she loves working for Drury Hotels because of their high standards for the properties.

The front desk team made a stressful night much easier, and I’m so grateful. Our car wouldn’t start at the gas station next to the hotel, so we were stranded until a mechanic could fix it the next day. We chose this place simply because it was right beside where we were stuck, but I’m glad we did. It’s not fancy, but everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good. They went out of their way to help us. They let us check out late so my husband could keep working from home, then stored our belongings until we could get the car that evening. They even put our leftovers in the staff refrigerator. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

For our drive home, this was a great place to stop. The rooms were quiet, the beds comfortable, the parking lots well lit, and the curtains did a good job of blacking out the room. It was nice to have a pop machine and coffee available all day and night. Texas Roadhouse was right beside our room, less than a minute away on foot, and staying at pear tree got us 10% off our check. Lots of other restaurants are walkable too. Continental breakfast was set out early, so we could grab cold items for the drive.

After leaving a bad hotel, Baymont, we were happy to find a clean room where I could shower and get a good night's sleep. The staff were cheerful and friendly. Breakfast in the morning was amazing, and they gave us a room close to the lobby, which I really appreciated. It’s also near everyday places like gas stations, restaurants, and stores. There’s no elevator, but I was on the first floor, so that wasn’t a problem. I’d recommend it for the good service, clean and comfortable rooms, and deluxe breakfast. 5 stars!
