Auburn Place Hotel & Suites - Paducah

This is a recently reopened, entry-level Hilton property, so you get a budget-friendly place with simple rooms that fit the look of newer or recently renovated Hilton properties. The property was extremely clean. It felt like I might be the first person in my room, which was possible since it had only been open about a week. The AC worked great, the location seemed safe, and it’s handy for the interstate and major chain businesses, with the riverfront about 10 minutes away. And the shower pressure was insane. I can’t remember a hotel shower this strong, even at the Four Seasons! I rarely leave Google reviews, but after seeing a recent 1 star review for this newly reopened place, I wanted to share what I found. People can have different experiences, but I can’t imagine what would warrant a review that bad. I’m happy to have another Hilton option for my Paducah trips. If the quality holds up after the newness wears off, I’ll stay here every time I’m in town.

The room was newly renovated and very clean. Several restaurants are close by, including an Applebee's just across the parking lot.

Joseph is the one good part. He’s always welcoming, caring, professional, and accommodating. If I owned a hotel, I’d want him at the front desk. I almost never leave a bad review, but Hilton, you completely ruined the best part of my business trips. I used to love Auburn Place and recommended it constantly to friends and coworkers. I’m here once or twice a month, and it was the part of the trip I looked forward to most, a bright spot after a long, late cross-country drive. I could get a comfortable night’s sleep before an early morning, then enjoy a lovely hot, protein-packed breakfast, usually back in my room on the plush sofa with coffee and a last bit of relaxation before a hectic month of work. It was almost like waking up at home. Not anymore!
