The Mayfields made us feel welcome and were happy to share helpful tips for hikes and things to do on the lake. Our cabin was spotless, comfortable, and had all the basics that made it feel like home. It was a lovely, quiet spot by Vallecito Reservoir. We had a great time and would recommend Bear Paw Lodge for both relaxing and having fun.

We had plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy those views whenever we wanted. Our family of five fit just right in the Polar cabin, and the younger kids had enough to keep them busy while the grown-ups got to unwind. There were games inside and out, plus a swing set. The setting was beautiful.

When flooding in the area disrupted our camping plans, we called Bear Paw and got a room within half an hour. It was all set up for us, even at the last minute. The host was easy to reach, friendly, and knew the area well. It was quiet and peaceful there. We'd happily come back for another restful stay.

We'd been evacuated from our home because of flooding, and this sweet little cabin gave us a safe place to land. Smokey Bear was clean and cozy, and the owners were so kind and helpful.

The Panda cabin was simple and peaceful, with a beautiful spot right beside the reservoir and a restaurant just across the street. Staying there felt like stepping back in time, which my wife and I really liked. The owner communicated well, and by the end we really didn't want to leave. I'd recommend Beat Paw Lodge.
