Valerie and Rod made us feel very welcome and gave helpful tips about the area. They even put flowers and bubbly in our room to make the visit special. The spacious house and rooms feel warm, cozy, and classy. It’s close to Pagosa Springs, yet far enough out to enjoy the quiet and scenery. A perfect spot for my husband and me, and I’d stay again.

We felt like we were staying with family during our two nights at Canyon Crest Lodge over Labor Day Weekend 2017. My husband Patrick and I were in Pagosa Springs for the 4 Corners Folk Festival and stayed in the Buckingham Palace room. Valerie and Rod were gracious hosts, and Bobo was on bear security duty. The house and grounds are beautiful, the room and beds were comfortable, and Valerie made a lovely homemade breakfast each morning. We’ve stayed at many B&Bs across the U S, and Canyon Crest is a rare treat. Patrick and I highly recommend it.

A little slice of Heaven, with gorgeous western views over the canyon and mountains. The property is beautifully kept, super clean, and decorated with taste in an English country estate style. The breakfast was fabulous, and the hostess was charming and gracious. It’s a few miles west of Pagosa Springs.

Breakfast was a nice home-cooked spread: biscuits and gravy, fruit, juice, coffee and tea, scrambled eggs, and marmalade served on lovely china. The owner was cooking and greeted us cheerfully, along with the other couple staying there. I didn’t catch her name, but she was very kind and made the stay pleasant. The grounds were peaceful, with a great view and a flowered trellis, and we enjoyed a stroll after breakfast. It’s a cute, simple B&B, though our Highclere Castle room had just two beds and a bathroom, with no fridge, thermostat, fancy toiletries, or strong Wi-Fi. We arrived late and GPS took us to the wrong street because we missed the note advising against it. The website picture and directions were easy to follow, though it was a little hard to identify the building in the dark since there’s no sign. The owner left a note on the front door, so we could go straight to our room without disturbing anyone. If you want top-notch amenities, look elsewhere.

The owners are really nice, the beds were very comfortable, and the setting is beautiful, right at the edge of a canyon down a gravel road. It’s only a short drive into town, so don’t let the location put you off. Wonderful B&B!
