The room looked nice and the hotel was small, but the walls let in a lot of sound. A dog barked through most of our second night, then the next night we could hear bass and music from a bar after 10. We couldn't sleep, and staff were nowhere to be found. I texted with questions and problems and got no reply. It's incredibly frustrating to pay for a room you can't rest in.

They'd thought of everything we needed, even leaving us a bottle of water, which was a nice touch. The room was new, very clean, and had a modern but cozy design. The bed was really comfortable. Highly recommend.

The river path behind town made it easy to get to the springs and swimming spots, and restaurants, coffee, and shops were all within walking distance. My husband and I spent two nights at The Nightingale and had a wonderful time. The room smelled so nice when I first came in, and everything was cute and spotless. The bar is one of the coolest I've been to in ages. After hiking the second day, we brought drinks back to our room. I'd absolutely stay again.

We spent the next evening by the gas fire pit out front, opening a bottle of wine after a soak. It puts out plenty of heat and was a great way to wind down. The first night, we had a couple of drinks at The Neon Mallard, looked at the art, and chatted with the bartender. It's a top-notch bar and, in my opinion, a great addition to Pagosa Springs. This boutique motel is right in the heart of Pagosa, and I love its all-black look. Definitely check it out next time you're in town.

Easy to find, clean, comfortable, and just a short walk to restaurants. The property also has a lovely lounge and a great bar with wonderful drinks, called The Neon Mallard. A little hidden gem in Pagosa!
