Holiday Inn Express & Suites Painesville - Concord by IHG

We travel a lot and often end up disappointed with hotel rooms, but this one was fantastic and well worth the price. The rooms are modern and clean, with fresh bedding and a nice bathroom. Knowing the carpet isn't dirty helps us sleep better. A clean, wonderful hotel.

We were given a dirty room at check-in. The receptionist said I'd get half my money back within 24 hours, but nothing came through. After that, the reservation hotline I booked through said they'd tried calling five times and kept getting voicemail. On Monday I spoke to the receptionist, Nay. She was extremely rude and asked whether I wanted her to handle it or wait for the manager. I said she could take care of the refund, but it still wasn't issued. When I called again, she kept transferring me to the manager's line, which went to voicemail with a full mailbox. Later the receptionist said the manager would call when he could, and was rude again.

I booked two rooms for oct 9th, and Courtney at reception made check-in quick and welcoming. She did an outstanding job. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and very comfortable.

This place is a big yes. It's the fourth night of our road trip, and the first three stops at a Holiday Inn, a Marriott, and a Best Western were only okay, despite all having reviews above 9/10 and costing $125-$300 a night. We were so unimpressed that we'd cut four days off the trip and planned to fly home tomorrow. Then we got here. This Holiday Inn is clean, the front desk clerk is adorable, and the restaurant she recommended, Burgers 2 Beer, was fantastic. After this stay I almost want to move here. Highly recommend this IHG. Thanks for a clean place to crash tonight.
