The room and bed were clean, there were no bed bugs, the water got hot, and the ice machine worked. That’s about where the good points end. We visited family during Apple Days Festival in the first week of Oct. The usual $54 nightly rate was $125 then. We’d asked before booking whether the pool was open through the end of Oct., but it was empty. A woman cleaning rooms said it hadn’t been filled in 2 years. After the first day, our door wouldn’t lock when we left, so anyone could walk in without a key. The front desk said they’d check it, but nothing changed. We left the Do Not Disturb tag up so people might think someone was inside. Our family had warned us to lock the vehicle everywhere because of homeless druggies in town, which made the broken lock more worrying. The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the toilet seat was loose enough that I nearly fell the first time I sat down, and the sink took several minutes to drain. Breakfast ran out quickly too. If you want it, get there early, since staff didn’t replenish the hot food, including biscuits and gravy.

The people working there were really nice, and that hot shower was amazing, so I’m happy. The night cost $93, which felt kinda expensive. The beds were a bit hard, as expected, and the coffee was so bad you’d be better off bringing your own coffee and pot. It was like you could pour it into a glass and read a newspaper through it lol 🤣 😆

The cleaning crew were very nice, but they seemed short on decent supplies, like clean mop water, disinfectant, a bucket 🪣, or even a shop vac. Management supplying those could help them do a much better job. Bring cleaning supplies if you stay, even though the price is cheap. The door looked like it had been kicked in a time or two, and its seal didn’t close properly.

We booked online because the place looked decent, but I’ll never stay here again. The sheets looked unwashed and stained, with what looked like urine on the mattress protector and possibly other body fluid stains. The floor hadn’t been cleaned, and the room smelled of smoke despite being marked nonsmoking. The complimentary breakfast was basically nonexistent. It also looked like someone had thrown up, or something else, on the back of the bathroom door.

The staff on-site were friendly and sociable, and the sheets and room were clean enough. I still didn’t sleep well because there was a lot of noise outside.
