Six months ahead, I booked this hotel and asked for a room with a bathtub. Today, the front desk called to say they couldn't provide one because it was more of a "want" than a "need." I explained that it was a medical need, and that for privacy reasons I didn't need to share more, though I could provide a doctor's note if truly necessary. The woman said rooms were available for an additional charge. When I asked whether people normally paid for this "upgrade," she said no. I asked her to check with her manager, then was told someone else was booking the reservation and needed the room, so they couldn't accommodate me. Assuming my need is just a want feels discriminatory. This will be my second stay at the resort. On the first visit the AC didn't work, and I had to sleep in a sauna-like room. More problems keep coming up.

The night felt magical, and I only wish we could do it again. We hosted a Welcome Dinner for 95 wedding guests in the Sun Room, and everyone raved about the beautiful space and delicious food. Traillan was wonderful to work with and helped make the event a success. Adela, the head of service staff, kept in touch throughout the evening to make sure everything ran smoothly.

The room and location were fine, but I wouldn't stay there again. The walls were so thin I could literally hear everything, even someone in the next room sneezing. When I tried to nap during the day, I heard the cleaner on the phone, bumping into furniture and cleaning. It felt like the walls were made of paper, and it made the stay unpleasant.

After driving all night, I was woken up by the maid twice, at 9 and 10 AM. It was really rude, and when I complained there wasn't even an apology. If you're tired, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

There aren't many food choices nearby, though delivery is always an option. The setting is peaceful, with nice balcony views, and the rooms are nice. I often found an ant, bug or spider somewhere inside, which was annoying to deal with. Still, it's good value and I'd stay again.
