Crystal Cove Hotel

The staff were amazing while we hosted Florida Z Fest here at capacity for 5 days. The rooms were nice, and the sunrise over the St. John's river is hard to beat. Looking forward to staying again next year!

I stayed here once a few years ago, and the place has really gone downhill. There were five of us in the room, but we were told the limit was four. One person left and the rest of us went to the pool, but staff still made us leave even though there were only four of us. One woman was particularly rude and hurried us out. The pool and bathrooms were gross, the sheets were stained and looked unclean, and the AC was terrible. Awful. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The location by the water was lovely, the grounds were free of litter, and it was quiet at night. Tony, the housekeeper, was polite, and the night concierge was friendly. But the morning concierge wasn't very polite, and an employee walked into my room without knocking while I was there. The bathroom was grimy and rusty, the walls were dirty, the TV cable connection was poor, and the pillows were low quality. Breakfast wasn't very palatable either. This motel has potential, but for what it costs, I think it needs renovations and some employees need better training.

We couldn't bring ourselves to lie on the bed. It was disgusting, the blanket was dirty, and the bathroom had clearly been used, with toilet paper on the floor and a filthy floor. We went to Walmart and bought sheets just to get through the night. The place doesn't match what it advertises online, and the lack of hygiene shows no regard for guests. This was the worst hotel experience I've had in all my years of staying in hotels. I absolutely wouldn't recommend it.
