The next day, the shower water wasn't hot, and the heater barely kept the room at 72 on a 34 degree night. After I came back from dinner, I asked for a bottle of water and the same employee said they only give out two. It felt like payback. Earlier, when I pointed out that the TV cables barely let the screen turn, she warned me I'd have to pay if I broke it. There was no apology or offer to help, so I told her I didn't need a lecture and she should report it to maintenance. The room had been newly refurbished, with the TV on stands instead of a turning base. I booked through the Hilton Honors app for New Years Eve and called at 2:00pm for early check-in, which they agreed to, but the digital key never arrived. When I got there at 3:00pm, they asked for my ID and credit card even though it was in the system. They didn't know why the key wasn't working or why they gave me a different room from the one I'd reserved. At first they said the room I booked was occupied, then said it was under repair. They gave me two bottles of water and told me to enjoy the stay. Such a screwed up attitude for a Hilton employee. I can only conclude management doesn't care enough to train for empathy or competence. I was lied to about my room, lectured about the TV, and refused a bottle of water. When the person responsible reads this, I have one word of advice: THINK! And Happy New Year at 5:00pm! I read a lot of the prior reviews, and think this hotel needs a staff makeover.

There was construction in our hallway, but the website hadn't mentioned the hotel was being renovated during our stay. The rooms were okay at best. The shower pressure and shower head were awful, the pillows were terrible, and the vanity counter was missing a drawer though the slide was still there. Breakfast was terrible too. There were guests hanging out in the lobby at 4:30am drinking beer with the front desk staff. At check-in, no one acknowledged my Hilton Honors status or membership. The front desk seemed to be training people, so service was slow. I was very disappointed as a Hilton Honors Member, and no one thanked us for our stay when we left.

The room was clean, the soaps were full, and the bed was firm, which I like. Staff were very friendly, and the rest of the place I saw was nice and had no smells. I noticed a mild mildew smell only at the front entrance. I'd stay here again.

It looked nice from the outside, but inside was a different story. The whole hotel had a strange smell, our room smelled like cigarettes, and there were stains on the towels. I wouldn't stay here again.
