Quality Inn & Suites Palatka Riverfront

The river view is beautiful, and the location is great. The room itself was another story: the carpet was sticky and disgusting, and I saw a roach crawling on the air conditioner. Parking is really limited, especially the handicap spots, so the room quality wasn't worth the high price. I also waited at least 20 minutes at Beef O'Brady's after placing a to-go dinner order before anyone acknowledged me. The service was horrible, and the food was mediocre for what it cost.

The woman who checked me in was much better than the other front desk lady I dealt with the next day. When my son was checking out, that woman locked the door automatically and tried to keep his things in the room. She gave him a very hard time. Guests shouldn't be treated that way. Good hospitality is what makes people come back.

I left at 7 am this morning, and this stay has convinced me not to bring my family or friends here. People outside after 10 pm were blasting five brass band music from their cars. Staff came over when I called the desk and got it stopped, but the music went right back up as soon as they walked away. The same guy was illegally parked during beer at 7 am, playing it loudly while kids and dogs were sleeping. He turned it down whenever an employee came by, so he knew it was a problem. My wife had to ask the Spanish guy to lower it again after employees had already told him, and we almost got into a fight. I called Palatka PD twice, but apparently they're closed after 11 pm. There's no protection or safety here. My group used to spend a lot of money here, but no more. Do not stay here if you care about your family.

We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed the pool during our stay. The rooms were very clean, and everyone on staff was so nice. The food was tasty, and the people preparing it were friendly too. We hope to come back.
