Best Western Plus Flagler Beach Area Inn & Suites

We called ahead about our service dogs and my partner’s accessibility needs. We were told the dogs would be welcome and that we could have a handicap room, or at least one on the first floor, so we booked a month in advance. On arrival, staff said my small service dog couldn’t be considered a working dog because “he isnt able to do certain tasks,” and said I’d be charged for him. We were also assigned a second-floor room, with no first-floor availability. Given the price and the advance notice, this was unacceptable. My partner could be at risk in an emergency because of her conditions. Staff need training on ADA regulations. I’m extremely disappointed that I spent money on this experience and this incompetence, and I won’t use this location again. I’d give it zero stars, or even negative ones, if I could.

We’ll be back. The price was right, breakfast was great, and our room was clean with a comfortable bed. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. My husband had biscuits with real sausage gravy, sausage and eggs, and real orange juice. I had waffles, yogurt, and coffee.

Breakfast is definitely better than what I get at most other hotels, the staff are super friendly, and there’s plenty of parking. I like staying here, though it’s tucked behind another hotel and can be hard to find. The rooms have some recurring plumbing problems. Every time I’ve stayed, the toilets have run. The sink water pressure is poor, and the sink drains slowly when washing up.

We came with our kids and my sister’s family, and they liked it too. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff were super friendly, and the price was great. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and its breakfast.
