Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Palm Coast

It was quiet even during spring break, and the fast food places were all five minutes away or less. I’m a single woman who drives Uber at long, unusual hours all over Florida, and after arriving at 3 a.m., I found the front desk so kind and helpful getting me settled. My king room was cute and brought back memories. I showered, went to bed, and had until noon to check out. No complaints at all. This place feels like a hidden gem, and I’d stay here again and make it my favorite whenever I’m in town. I even liked having South Park on the TV. When I travel, I miss my teenage daughter, and it’s a show we watch together, lol.

The room was cleaned only twice during our two weeks, and only after we asked, so that’s why I gave service a 3. When I raised it with the head of housekeeping, she apologized and came to clean the room herself. She was very nice. Kathy at the front desk was friendly and helpful, too. Wesley stood out as a hardworking, busy employee who was always welcoming, made eye contact, and greeted people. He’d be a real asset in a customer-facing role. Thank you.

A few hours after we settled in, a large adult roach crawled across my bed. I went straight down to tell the front desk and ask about a refund, explaining that my family was asleep. The staff member said the manager would arrive at 7 a.m. and wrote down my room number. It’s 3:42 a.m. as I write this, and I’ve been awake all night stomping roach after roach. Earlier, my husband, our one-year-old, and I had checked in at 11:30 p.m. after a long drive. We’d been told it was a good place to stay. The room looked okay at first, nothing fancy, but I soon spotted bugs in the bathroom and realized they were young roaches. We had nowhere else to go, and our son needed sleep, so we tried to stay. I’m extremely disappointed. I hope I get a refund in the morning. I’m ready to leave this infested place, and I hope the sun comes up soon.

The pool was really clean, and the rooms were clean too. I slept like a baby all night. I ended up checking in overnight with my two kids because I hadn’t paid my water bill, lol. The receptionist was wonderful, helped us with everything, and even showed us the way to the pool. Thanks so much for such a great time.
