Palm Desert Suites

We’re back at Palm Desert Suites after staying here last year while helping an ailing family member. The suites have been upgraded so nicely: new furniture, cabinets, shower, vanity, refrigerator, and microwave. This time there are starter internals, pots and pans, cooking utensils, a toaster or toaster oven, and a Kuerig coffee maker, plus extra towels. There was none of this last year. They checked in mid-stay to see how things were, and if you need anything, they’re just a text away. It’s centrally located in Palm Desert, a mile from El Paseo and a block off Hwy 111, with plenty of dining options and grocery stores nearby. The area feels very safe and relatively quiet, depending on whether your neighbors are quiet, lol. It’s a really nice place to stay with a great kitchen area!

I’m in love with this hotel room! The decor is unbelievably cute, and the layout feels cozy and just right. The bed is so comfortable that I lay down to rest my head and fell asleep without realizing it. It has everything you’d need away from home: fridge, stove, dishwasher, a lovely shower, and his and her sinks. You’ll love it here.

I’ve been here from December 31, 2025 through January 27, 2026, and it’s felt like a home away from home while I look for my new place. Al and the whole staff have been incredibly helpful and responsive, which made everything easy and stress-free. The unit is comfortable, immaculate, and thoughtfully designed. Recent renovations give it clean, modern finishes while still respecting the building’s history. It was originally constructed by Al Capone for the Teamsters, which gives the property a distinctive character unlike typical rentals. The blend of historical charm and contemporary quality is outstanding. I hope to stay here again. Highly recommended.

I recommend Palm Desert Suites and plan to book there whenever I visit the area. The room was large, quiet, clean, fully renovated, and had a full kitchen and a balcony overlooking the hot tub. The bed was comfortable, and remote check-in was easy: they sent a door code, so I didn’t need to go to the front desk. My only complaints were that I couldn’t find the coffee pot, despite a coffee maker being there, and there was no tea or coffee in the room. The smoke alarm in the center of the room had a very bright blue light that lit up the whole space and made it hard to sleep. I visited the Palm Springs area on February 20, 2026, for a concert at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage. Since we were coming from Los Angeles, we decided to stay the night rather than travel after the concert. I thought I’d booked Palm Desert Suites, but apparently the reservation hadn’t finalized. When I checked, room prices had doubled. I called the hotel and spoke with a gentleman who went out of his way to help. Although rooms were selling for much more, he honored the $129 price that had been available when I thought I’d booked.
