The pool and jacuzzi were pleasant, and the room was okay, though not great. The bedding had a strong fragrance that made my skin itch, the bathroom cabinet was in rough shape, the sink leaked, and the furniture and kitchen looked tired and old. We booked through Airbnb under my boyfriend’s name and didn’t check Google first. They say they’re dog friendly, but only disclosed the $34.35 per night dog fee after we’d booked. There were signs everywhere saying no dogs allowed and to keep dogs off the grass. Charging an extra fee would be fine if it were clear up front, but when we asked, all we got was a cold message saying, “there is an extra fee.” On checkout day, they messaged early to say checkout was at 10 a.m., even though their Airbnb page says 11. You have to dig through the house rules and then additional rules to find a bulky, disorganized paragraph with the 10 a.m. time and dog fee. That conflicts with the main page, and feels unsettling when they’re also willing to charge $75 for a late checkout. The hidden charges and curt messages ruined the stay for us. I suggested they make the fees clearer on Airbnb and got no response. I would have cancelled after that first message if we could have gotten our money back. We won’t return, and I hope other people can avoid the hassle.

The price was fair, and I liked the hotel’s vintage look and pretty pool courtyard. The bungalows might be even cuter with brighter paint and better art. My blanket was very thin, though, and I was cold at night. I couldn’t find anyone to ask for another one, so I was a bit uncomfortable.

We had a quiet, enjoyable stay. The room was clean, the shower was hot, and the bed and linens were comfortable. It was a little dated, but that’s part of Palm Springs’ charm. We liked sipping coffee and stargazing on our small patio, and the pool and shared areas were nicely kept. I’d stay again.

Alex was so friendly and helpful, and the room had plenty of space, heating, a kitchen, and all the basics we needed. There’s a swimming pool and a hot tub, too. The design is really cute, and I honestly don’t get all the bad reviews. Five stars from me, it was great. By the way, we’re the two Vietnamese guys who came yesterday.

The staff member at the front desk was really helpful, though having printed instructions in the bungalow would have saved me a couple of calls about the heating, Wi-Fi, and TV. The place is within walking distance of a lot in Palm Springs, and my pups loved the big backyard. I also liked having all the utensils, plates, glasses, and cups in the kitchenette. There’s a pet deposit for each dog, and they can’t potty in the courtyard, so getting out the gate quickly in the morning was awkward. I took them for walks off the property twice a day. The bungalow had a cute retro look, but the tub paint was peeling, the couch fabric was dirty, and the drapes were dirty too. The windows, lamps, and heaters needed cleaning. When I stripped the bed and put the used towels, trash, and sheets by the door, I found blood spots on the mattress pad. I haven’t had a period in 20 years, so it wasn’t from me. The bedding wasn’t good quality either. The pillows were flimsy, and the old cover looked grimy and like it needed washing. It was adequate, but the place needs a refresh, a deep clean, and more attention to customers.
