Riviera Resort – Palm Springs By IHG

The morning team deserves a special thank you for the wonderful breakfast and lunch service. We attend a lot of conferences, and this was easily one of the best for food quality and staff hospitality. The event staff at The Riviera Resort & Spa anticipated our conference goals and catering needs, and everything was handled smoothly, with genuine smiles and care for attendees. Tables and materials were placed thoughtfully and presented beautifully each day. The presentations were top-tier, and the food was exceptional, especially the desserts served each day. Gabby, Drew, Oxalis, and Lorenzo are true keepers, just first class. Fabian Beltran is an absolute Director with a great staff. Thanks again for making the California Association of Colleges of Nurses Conference at The Riviera Resort & Spa event Conference center such a success.

The staff were the highlight for me. Everyone I met was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the stay feel comfortable from start to finish. I also loved the resort's 1950s style. My deluxe room was quiet, clean, and well kept, with a comfortable bed that made it easy to relax and sleep well. The amenities were nice, too. I really enjoyed my stay at the Riviera Resort and Spa in Palm Springs and would happily return.

The pool and hot tub area stayed nice and clean, our room was thoroughly cleaned, and the employees were friendly. One thing to know is the resort isn't near grocery stores. Since we were there for five days, we used the 7 eleven across the street to save on drinks and snacks. We also had no cold water in our room, so the showers were extremely hot. I assume it was a temporary problem that should get resolved.

The grounds and conference center were very nice, service was very good, and the pools were quiet during my midweek business conference after a holiday weekend, with few tourists around. The outside of the Riviera looks like a four-star resort, but your expectations need to account for which building and room you get. I was on the top floor of building 4. The decor felt confused, as if it might have been an old Margaritaville room, and there were very few tech amenities. The bed was comfy and the HVAC worked as expected, but the room itself was nothing special. Until renovations are done, I'd call it a two-star room. Keep expectations in check and you may be fine, but expect a high-end four-star room with amenities and you will be disappointed.
