Mahala - 21 and Over - A Town & Desert Boutique Hotel

We loved the 21+ setting and how laid-back the stay felt. The room and hotel are thoughtfully designed, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was clean inside and out. The complimentary snacks and drinks were a nice extra, and the room had useful things like coffee, bottle openers, mugs, and plastic cups that worked well around the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was especially nice on a cool night. My one wish is for a window we could open, since the powerful shower leaves the room warm and humid.

The location made going out easy, with plenty of good restaurants in walking distance and downtown Palm Springs just a five-minute drive away. Having a gas station and 7/11 across the street was handy too. We had a great girls’ trip at Mahala, and Dave was a wonderful host. The rooms looked gorgeous, with lovely decor and a modern flat-screen TV that had all our favorite apps and shows. Complimentary snacks and drinks made us feel at home, and the beds and pillows were so comfortable we slept well after our outings. We also loved the glamorous shower, the staff were exceptional, and the 24-hour pool was a highlight for winding down after a night in town. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Restaurants and convenience stores are right across the street, downtown is only a five-minute drive, and the hotel is just off the freeway exit. The staff were kind and helpful throughout my visit, and the place was peaceful, spotless, and beautifully maintained. My spacious room had a super comfortable bed, rain shower, great toiletries, mini fridge, and complimentary snacks. This is easily the best place I’ve stayed in Palm Springs, and I’ll be back.

The courtyard, with desert plants, a pool, and a hot tub, sits at the center of 15 bungalow-style rooms. It’s a small, quiet hotel with thoughtful amenities and courteous staff who stay unobtrusive while remaining available when needed. The in-room nonalcoholic drinks and snacks were a nice touch, and housekeeping staff were very friendly. Highly recommend.
