Coyote Inn - 21 and Over - A Town & Desert Boutique Hotel

The pool and spa felt private thanks to a tall hedge between Coyote Inn and the neighboring property. Our room was clean and only steps from both, and the nights were quiet, with no club music nearby, so falling asleep was easy. My wife and I had a lovely, low-key three days at the Coyote Inn this past weekend. It's a private, relaxing place to stay in Palm Springs, and we'll definitely be back.

Our stay started out well. The inn was private, clean, cozy, and just minutes from downtown. The suite had a patio, fireplace, kitchenette, comfortable beds, great AC, and lots of amenities. It was safe and quiet, with a bit of an Airbnb feel. The hosts were responsive before and during our trip. The front desk even had DVD's to rent, and our room had a "night sky" effect at night. The problem was a piece of my jewelry slipped into the bathroom sink. I stopped using it and told staff the next morning. They asked me to wait until Monday for maintenance. The attempt to retrieve it felt careless, and the interactions didn't seem sincere. I had to keep checking for updates. Then they said they'd decided to delay retrieval because of the building's age. I'm a homeowner, and the P-trap under the sink was standard. After a week, the other explanations I got seemed to go against code, so I didn't feel they were sincere about trying to get the item back as promised. Accidents happen and there are no guarantees, but customer service on this was poor. I felt I was lied to about the details because I'm a woman, which made losing the item even worse.

It's an unusual boutique hotel, adults only, and an easy walk to downtown. I love it. At night, I even heard a coyote howl in the distance, which added to the ambiance of my stay. 😁

A cozy, quiet place a few blocks from downtown, with friendly staff who were very accommodating. I'll definitely return and make use of the kitchenette.
