Musicland Hotel

The room was just as disgusting as the spotted trail leading to it, and the hallway floors looked like someone had thrown up on them. Staff were discourteous when I complained and didn’t see anything wrong with their work. The advertised pictures show a beautiful, relaxing pool area, but leave out the rusty gates and stained sidewalks on the way to an unheated pool full of algae. I’ll post my photos. You wouldn’t believe it without seeing them.

After our ride, we had a really nice time in the clean, well-kept pool and hot tub. The room had a little fridge, coffee maker, small desk and chair, plus a shower with hot water and good pressure. This is a clean motel with the essentials, not a fancy hotel, and for the price and its closeness to downtown I’d stay again. We were in town for the Tour De Palm Springs this weekend. My only small complaints were the lack of fitted sheets, so I ended up on the mattress when I rolled over, and the comforters were kind of small and thin.

The staff were so sweet and happy to help, and to me the people are the most important part of a hotel. I stayed five weeks, so I can say there were no bugs at all. They also have people watching to make sure you’re safe. I’m thankful they let us stay, but I had to deep clean the room when I first got it. There was blood on the tub and toilet, and the tub wouldn’t drain. A few other things were there too, though they weren’t really worrisome. The downside is the pool and hot tub are there, but you can’t use them. Thanks again for everything.

The furnishings were lovely, and I liked the tile floors. We found parking easily and enjoyed the hot tub. It’s a nice pet-friendly hotel and I’d stay again, though probably not as my first choice. The window coverings let in so much daylight that sleeping late or taking a nap is hard.
