Trainmasters Inn

The Steaming Tender is fantastic. It’s in a former train depot, and that nostalgic atmosphere makes it feel magical. The menu has lots of variety, including specials, and the food is amazing. Robin, who owns both the Trainmasters Inn and The Steaming Tender, is an absolutely lovely person. We first came in January for a weekend away, liked it so much that we’ve already returned twice, and plan to come back again. The Inn is very clean and welcoming, with fresh-baked muffins, juice, water, coffee, and yogurt waiting in the morning. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Dinner at their restaurant, just a short walk away, was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the service was so friendly, and this family-owned Inn has such a warm feel. This place is special. Highly recommend.

Our two autistic boys are obsessed with trains, so staying in the fully restored caboose in Palmer, MA was a dream come true. The little kitchen was adorable, and we loved making breakfast there. Each night we wound down by the fire pit. It was a cozy, charming family getaway, full of thoughtful details. We made beautiful memories and can’t wait to return!

There was water waiting in my room, plus a fridge stocked with orange juice and yogurts for breakfast. The furnishings were tasteful and theme-oriented, and the bed was comfy with soft linens. The staff were lovely, even though they weren’t on site. I stayed by myself and felt very safe. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. The only thing missing was a fat cat to greet you at the door.
