Quality Inn Miami South

The rooms and pool aren't what keep me coming back. It's the people. I feel safe there and like I'm being treated as family, which is a comfort when I hate traveling alone. I've been to Miami 8 times in the last 2 years, and the wonderful staff keep drawing me back. Nester at front desk is an amazing person, and Diane, head of housekeeping, is an absolute gem. I was offered a free stay at dental clinic apartments, but I gladly paid to stay where I feel safe and part of the family. Thankyou

The room let in a little too much light because the curtains aren't blackout curtains, though the well-lit parking lot was easy to get to. The location's convenient, with a Publix next door and food options across the way, and it's only 20 minutes from the airport. A great budget option. Beds and showers were great, everything was very clean, and the staff were fantastic. There's a nice heated pool with a fantastic mural and sun deck.

We were exhausted when we arrived late for check-in, and the kids went to wash up before bed. While wiping the surfaces people touch most, I found the floors hadn't been cleaned. There was a missing earring, false eyelashes, long hair weaves, and lots of shorter hairs that looked like dog hair, though I'm not sure what they were. We were already settled and too tired to move, so even though they offered another room, I asked for a mop and spray and cleaned it myself, thinking housekeeping might have missed it. The next day I requested room cleaning, and our room was on the list for a deep floor cleaning. The dirty rags were taken away, but I have an eye for detail and there was still hair all over. The attached photos show the first and second day. I had to ask for rags again to clean the floors myself.

It was quiet, and the beds worked for us. The rooms were clean, there's laundry, and the pool is nice, with a deck above it that's a nice touch. It's in a good neighborhood right on US-1. The warm break was okay. This is a very good motel, run by professional, courteous staff. They treat you like a person who needs rest, and that's hard to find in this business.
