The Marshall House

The only disappointment was that they were booked the next night. We didn't want to leave, and will plan farther ahead next time to try for two nights. We had a slight emergency that made us check out late, and Michelle was very understanding and accommodating. My husband surprised me with a birthday getaway at The Marshall House. Before we arrived, Michelle asked about allergies and food preferences, a courtesy that made me smile, especially since we've stayed at B&Bs across the country. The grounds were beautifully landscaped, with a long drive up to the spacious house and separate guest parking spaces. In the lobby, a chalkboard had a welcome message with our names. Our suite was immaculate, spacious, and homey, with a fireplace. My husband had mentioned the birthday, so there were discreet decorations in the room. The restaurant they recommended was perfect and gave us a discount. Before dinner, Jay and Michelle invited us to a roaring bonfire on a lovely full moon night. Thank you, Michelle & Jay, for a wonderful stay. The qualities you both showed are what make your Bed & Breakfast stand out.

We loved the jacuzzi tub in the airy Hershey suite, which had great views. The property is gorgeous, spacious, and open, and the hosts really went out of their way to make us comfortable. There are fire pits to sit by at night too :)

Jay and Michelle respected our request for no contact during Covid-19 when we stayed at The Marshall House for one night in April on an essential trip. The Hershey Suite was spacious, well appointed, and had lovely views over the large yard. We felt at home right away and plan to stay again when we're passing through. Michelle made us breakfast with lots of fruit and vegetables, as we requested, and texted when it was ready at the hallway buffet. After our drive, we also enjoyed the complimentary chocolates and sweets. There was a cute shared hallway station with snacks and drinks. Thanks, Jay and Michelle, for making us feel welcome!

Jay & Michelle welcomed us warmly and added personal touches to our rooms. The place felt cozy and inviting, and my wife and I had a really relaxing stay. We also enjoyed exploring with the area guide they put together. I'd strongly recommend spending time at the Marshall House.
