Glass Slipper Inn - Stanford Palo Alto

It was the cheapest place around, and I guess the low price showed in the room. The laminate floor still felt dirty underfoot, and the whole hotel seemed filthy. The TV remote was covered in slime and gunk, and I didn't want to touch anything. I also found hair beneath the sheets. I choose rooms without carpet for a cleaner feel, but that didn't help here. I won't stay again.

For a Motel 6 price, this was way better than Motel 6. The room felt like a small apartment, and it was clean and very spacious. Staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and they even had room for my large work truck. The value is hard to beat. I was really happy with the stay, six stars if I could.

Lee was such a great host, even wishing me happy birthday without me mentioning it. Everyone was kind, and I'd recommend the place to anyone. Parking was my only complaint: the spaces are extremely tight, with support poles in the middle, so it takes planning and skill to park. Still, 11/10 for me.

There was almost no soundproofing between rooms or against outside noise. Worse, after my first night I developed large bumps and rashes across my face and body. I'd never had anything like that before, and it turned out it was likely ringworm. Looking at the mattress, which seemed barely cleaned, it made sense.
