There were roaches crawling around, the toilet and air conditioning didn't work, and the fridge was broken and leaking water onto the microwave, which seemed like a major hazard. When I tried to talk to the front desk, the woman was horrid. The front desk was absolutely rude. Read the reviews. They don't lie.

We came in expecting the room to be clean for what we'd paid, but the housekeeper had only flipped the sheets and hadn't cleaned it. We went to the front office and asked for a refund. The employee said we'd have to wait for a manager, so we did. We slept in the truck and only used the room to shower because it was so dirty. The manager was highly rude and disrespectful and refused to help. We were upset, but only wanted at least half our money back since we'd used the shower and nothing else.

I guess you get what you pay for. The cleaning woman came pounding on the door with a horrible attitude and scared me. She stared me down, so I quickly shut the door and declined her services. That night, I turned on the bathroom light and saw a family of cockroaches. They scared me even more than the cleaning woman. I was so upset and wanted to get out of there as fast as I could. I also had to wash all my clothes and belongings before going home. Horrible.

The rooms are roomy, the beds were clean, and there's a pool with service just a few steps away. Bring your own pillow, maybe a blanket too, since the ones there felt pretty thin. It's a no-frills motel, but being right on the beachfront road puts everything nearby.
