We went the first week of June, so it was busy but never packed, and the other guests were nice. We stayed in Laketown Wharf #207 for a week, and my kids and I had an incredible time. The resort was clean, safe, and family-friendly, with five pools, a hot tub, an arcade, and lots of restaurants on the ground floor. A private path gets you to the beach in about a five-minute walk, and you can cross the back bridge to Sunsations gift shop. My only criticism is that most of the resort staff weren’t very friendly. I hardly had to deal with them, so it didn’t become an issue. Best resort we’ve stayed at in Florida. We’ll definitely be back!

To reach the beach, you have to cross the road, and at night there’s noise from the strip: motorcycles, loud bass, and cars. The elevators are a mess too. I waited 10 to 15 minutes in line, and sometimes you have to ride down before you can go up to your floor. At 8 a.m. the workers started grinding the stairs and hammering the handrails for hours. We were on vacation and wanted to sleep in, but they could have waited until later in the afternoon. They didn’t seem to care about guests’ vacation time. My room was barely maintained: dead outlets, holes in the walls, bad caulking, and other repairs that made it look run down. One ceiling fan was broken, so I went to Walmart and bought a fan to sleep. I won’t come back.
Our room is really spacious, and we’ve got our own private spot on the beach across the street. The pools are great too. We’re staying in one of the condos with friends, and the staff have always been sweet and helpful. There are great food options nearby, and the place is right in the middle of everything. Such a great place, definitely recommend.
We’ve stayed here every year for four years, but the place has gone downhill. The lake looked disgusting, with trash in it, and the pool bottoms were filthy. The elevators were broken, and this time the wristbands we had to pay extra for didn’t work. We only received two, then were told it would cost $10 per band per day to get three more. Prices have risen while quality has dropped. I’ll find somewhere else next year.
The condo was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed, including a full kitchen and a balcony with a gorgeous view. It felt like a home away from home. The property is spacious and well maintained, with several pools, a lake, and lots of places to relax. Restaurants, shops, and entertainment are all close, so it’s easy to enjoy the area without going far. The atmosphere is relaxing and family-friendly. Laketown Wharf Resort in Panama City Beach is in a perfect spot, just a short walk from the beach with beautiful views all around. We had a wonderful stay and would come back and recommend it to anyone visiting Panama City Beach.
