It was bloody cold in the room, though I can't really blame the motel for the weather. The paper thin walls didn't help. The bathroom was a mess: the shower was clogged and wouldn't drain, and the sink barely ran. Its handle took the strength of a thousand men to turn. The door was so warped that once it shut, I was stuck inside because it sealed hermetically. Tiles were missing along the walls, and by the kettle there was just one packet of instant coffee, not even a half-hearted orange pekoe tea bag. The room stank of industrial cleaner. The best part was leaving after one night. It wasn't really cheap, and there are more motels in Panguitch than residents, so I'd book somewhere else.

UPDATE: Three days after we left, we realized the small bites our 2 yo had started getting on our first night weren't from mosquitoes. They were bed bugs, and they came home with us in his pillow. We managed to kill the infestation before it got too big, but we definitely won't be back. 4* review from the day after we left: It was what you'd expect from a cheap motel, and a good place to stay for visiting Bryce Canyon, about 20-25 minutes away.

The handmade quilts on the wall were a nice touch. The place was clean and the staff were great, though it hasn't had a recent update. That didn't bother me, but anyone expecting a freshly spruced-up room might be disappointed.

We got a room with three beds for $79, and all six of us fit in that one room, so the price was hard to argue with. It is an older motel, though, and the rooms, especially the bathrooms, could use an update.
