Bross Hotel

Mike & Suzanne made us feel very welcome, and Desmond the kitty kept us entertained with all his shenanigans. The Bross B&B was just right for relaxing and visiting nearby wineries. We loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

Breakfast each morning was way beyond what we expected. Those blueberry lemon pancakes may be some of the best I’ve ever eaten. The room was spotless, with very nice updated bathroom finishes, and the whole place felt clean, cozy, and cared for. Sweet Desmond greeted us too, which added to the fall spooky atmosphere. We had a fantastic stay and will come back when we’re in Paonia again.

The breakfast was perfection, starting with local fruit salad and ending with fluffy homemade blueberry lemon meringue pancakes and bacon. We stayed overnight on a Colorado road trip and loved the Bross Hotel. The owners welcomed us and gave us nice suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Our cute top-floor room was clean, the bed was really comfortable, and it had both a ceiling fan and AC, so it was cool in the evening. You can walk to anything in town. We can’t say enough good things and would definitely stay again if we’re back in the area.

It was my first bed-and-breakfast stay, and a really lovely experience. The food felt original, and the rooms were clean and very quiet. The owners and staff were accommodating, and it’s clear they care about their work. My one small wish was for a better way to keep the rooms cool. Maybe a guest turned off the swamp cooler overnight, rather than staff.
