Days Inn & Suites Parachute

The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view, and the indoor pool was in good shape. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, waffles, bagels, and other things, which was satisfactory. The man at the front desk was especially friendly and even brought us extra towels before I asked. I’d absolutely stay here again if I’m nearby.

The rooms were spacious and really clean, and those big white towels were super soft and fluffy. Staff were good, too. For this area, the price was the most competitive we found. Breakfast was simple but healthy, with juice, milk, coffee, toast, waffles, muffins, cereal, and everything was kept clean. I’d love to come back and would definitely recommend it.

The room was filthy. There was pizza sauce on the pillow and on the badly stained dust ruffles, so I really doubt the bedding had been changed properly. The lampshade was melted and the window screen was broken. The front desk person was a bit grouchy, and breakfast wasn't good. The owners seemed to be living at the hotel. When we came into the lobby, grandparents, parents, and little kids were all watching TV, and I felt like I was intruding in their home. The place smelled like Indian food, too. Definitely skip it. Pay a little more and stay next door.

The room reeked of smoke when we arrived, which was a serious problem because my sister has asthma triggered by smoke. The front desk staff, one of whom I think was named Dawn, said we had booked a smoking room through Expedia. I told them that wasn't true. They were rude and kept insisting we'd made the mistake online. They first claimed there were no non-smoking rooms, but the website showed openings. Then they wanted an extra $160 for a two queen non-smoking room. We couldn't afford that on top of the original charge, and they didn't seem to care about my sister's health. We asked several times to speak with a manager, but they refused to call one and acted immature and disrespectful. This place is run by an Indian family who spoke broken English, and it felt like they cared only about money. They could have moved us, but chose not to out of greed. Their free breakfast was awful: fake eggs, outdated milk products, and bread that seemed ten days old. Disgusting, and a terrible way to run a hotel.
