A sweet little retreat, with lovely landscaping and a nice pool. The linens and beds were clean, and the beds were really comfortable. No bugs, either. The price was decent, especially for this area. If you want a big chain hotel, this isn’t the place.

We came last week for a wedding in Paradise CA, and this place made the stay fantastic. It’s an older building, but the owner clearly takes pride in it and keeps it meticulously clean. The customer service was awesome, even from the head house keeper, who called our kids by name. When we visit family again, we won’t stay anywhere else. They deserve more than five stars!

It was affordable and not crowded, and the owner was very nice. When our toilet leaked, he fixed it right away. The room could use better cleaning and the carpets need shampooing, but we’ll stay here again instead of the Ponderosa.

I sleep so well here, even with my back problems, because the beds are that comfortable. The rooms are nice and clean, and the gentleman who runs the place is incredibly kind. We stay every time we come to town, and I definitely recommend this cute little hotel if you’re visiting paradise, CA.

Jay and his wife have been running this quaint motel for 9yrs, and he takes great care of his little bit of Paradise. The place feels a bit like Grandma’s house. Nothing is new, but it’s clean and has everything you need. Jay is a really nice guy. While we were shopping for a home, we heard people say wonderful things about him. We heard that during the fires in 2008, Jay stayed behind when others evacuated and opened the motel to firefighters for free, giving them shelter and doing their laundry. We also heard about a family whose father, a friend of Jay’s, died. Jay let their out of town guests, friends, and family stay at the motel at no cost so they could attend the funeral. These aren’t stories he tells about himself, they’re how people in paradise feel about him. We enjoyed our stay, and so did our 2 little dogs. We’ll definitely return.
