Being just off the highway and near Walmart market made it a handy, comfortable, safe place to stay overnight. We could park right by our room, which was convenient. The outside looked good, and our linens, floor, and beds were clean and comfortable. Just note, the second floor is reached by outdoor stairs. We had several maintenance issues. The first room had no working heat, but friendly staff found us another one. That room's heat later switched to cool air, so it was chilly by morning. The fridge didn't work, the TV had no signal, and the microwave, though functional, still had egg and ham residue from the previous guest. The vending machine was out of order too, so no dessert snack.

The problems started in room 116: the heat didn't work properly, the air temperature changed on its own from 66° to 62°, and there was black mold on the ceiling. They moved us, but the door in the next room wouldn't work either. Our key card couldn't open it, and the desk person suggested leaving the door cracked while we were out. I wasn't about to leave our things exposed to theft. We were on vacation and couldn't comfortably go out and enjoy it. We also got bitten by bugs, and I was never told about the $100 hold, which can be kept for up to 10 business days. I've stayed all over the USA for work and vacations and haven't had a hold like that except for work, when it was only $50. The day and night managers heard about the issues, but the only offer was another room. That would have been our third room in one day. They said the owner doesn't care about the hotel or fixing things, and it sure seemed that way with the broken equipment and doors. For the price, there are better places to stay. Don't waste your money here.

I arrived at 11:40 pm with a prepaid reservation that had been paid well in advance, but they had no room ready for me. I was left waiting in my car outside for an hour while they cleaned one. The desk clerk tried to help, but they knew I was coming and should have had a room available. It's now 12:40 am and I still can't get into my room. Absolutely terrible.

It's in a fairly quiet neighborhood, not far from town. You can walk to the water park from the hotel if you want to.

At check-in, I found out there was a $100 deposit, even though it wasn't mentioned on the website, in any of the three emails, or in either of the texts I got about my reservation. I admit I wasn't nice about it, and she eventually waived the deposit after I said I'd call Wyndham. But after checking in, I saw that she had charged $30 more than the reservation amount on my card. I'll be calling about that in the morning.
