Best Western Paris Inn

The room furniture and the hotel itself badly need updating, but it was fairly quiet and there's a decent Mexican restaurant within walking distance. I stopped here in mid-September on my way west during a motorcycle trip, tired and looking for a convenient place to stay. After walking to my room I worried about my bike's security. The front desk guy was next to a big screen showing the security cameras and suggested parking under the awning by the entrance. A camera pointed right at the bike, which was reassuring.

The price is ridiculous for what you get. Similar places in better locations cost $40 less. It's the worst place I've ever stayed, though the cost alone isn't what makes it so bad.

The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the hotel was clean with the amenities we wanted. I'd stay again. The room facing outside under the second-floor overhang worked well for us with a pet, though I had assumed all the rooms were reached from interior halls. The clerk was helpful at check-in but gave us poor directions for parking near our room. For the price, I expected a quieter night. Other guests talked and laughed loudly, and their large dog barked right outside our room at 2 a.m. We had to put up with it until they finished. I don't know whether night auditors still check the property, but they should, since one would have come across this disturbance. Fortunately, our tired pet didn't respond to the dog's loud, obviously large barks. The shower's hot water only goes so far, and I would have liked it a bit hotter. The sink tap gets much hotter, which gave me a false sense of how hot the water could be and nearly burned my hands. An adjustable shower head would help too. The water is quite soft, and with my thick, full hair I had to rinse and rinse to get the conditioner out.

The staff were really friendly, and the room was super clean and very accessible for me as a disabled person. Highly recommend this place.
