Knights Inn San Antonio near Frost Bank Center

The room felt dirty and left me uneasy. Check-in was painful too, with staff debating for what seemed like forever about which room to give me. This might be the worst motel stay I’ve had. They’re in a catch-22: it seems hard to raise rates without renovating, but also hard to pay for renovations without raising rates. Stay if you have to, but if you can afford more, go somewhere else. A reminder that you get what you pay for.

Seie at the front desk greeted everyone with a smile and was very helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and the pool looked beautiful lit up at night. I had a great time at Knights Inn and would like to come back with friends and family for a party. One cleaning guy was rude and shouting, which felt disrespectful, but the stay was still nice overall.

I only needed a quick place to sleep, but there was no breakfast and the coffee machine in my room was broken. The towels and pillows had stains, and my room had no deadbolt. I felt unsafe trying to sleep. The place smelled strongly of smoke, and so did my supposedly non-smoking room.

The place looked pretty trashy to begin with, and the customer service was the worst I’ve dealt with. They wanted a $200 deposit, even though the travel websites listed it as $50. I’d booked expecting to pay $50, and showed the worker that the website still said that, but they wouldn’t let me check in with that deposit. I didn’t get a refund for my room either. If zero stars were an option, that’s what I’d give.
