The floor felt water-damaged enough that I worried it might give way, and people outside appeared to be using hard drugs. Inside, the sheets and blankets had unexplained stains and cigarette burns, and the bathroom wall had blood splatter. There were no towels or toilet paper. The peephole glass was broken, while the chain lock was barely attached, as if the door had been kicked in. Sharpie writing covered the walls, including “SPIDER” with an arrow by the bed, “RUN, RUN, RUN,” and “I love big d&&&”; “I eat a55” was carved into the bathroom door with a knife. On arrival, an angry Indian man came up to my car window and asked whether I wanted a room. It’s almost funny that this is the best the owner could put forward in his career.

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room had bed bugs and roaches, and the bathroom floor got water dripping down from the ceiling whenever the people upstairs took a bath or shower. The jacuzzi didn’t work, there was no TV, and I couldn’t even open the dresser drawers. Staff were rude and nosy, too. It’s sad this place is still open. It needs to shut down and never go back into business. If I were in charge of a hotel, I could never let people stay somewhere with conditions this bad.

After more than 13 hours on the road with my partner, we were exhausted and needed somewhere quickly. We paid and went to the room, where a horrible musty smell hit us. Everything was stained and filthy, with tobacco spit on the floor, feces on the towels, urine, stained beds, and cockroaches and flies everywhere. We were too tired to turn around and find another place, though I wish we’d asked for our money back and left. Once home, I realized I had bed bug bites. I called recently and spoke with the woman who owned the place. She said that staying after paying was my fault, asked why I hadn’t said anything if I saw cockroaches, refused a refund, and hung up. The room and service were awful. They shouldn’t get any more business.

I needed an inexpensive, clean, quiet place to sleep for two work nights, and it did the job. It was pretty quiet, the mattress was in good shape, and the microwave and fridge worked fine. The family running the place were helpful and made sure I had what I needed. The building and furnishings are old, with some of the problems that come with an older property. I liked the okra plants spaced along the pool fence as decoration. The pool wasn’t working at the time.

Not even half an hour after checking in, a mouse came out from under the dresser while I was in the hot tub. My husband looked for it, and when we opened the dresser drawers, we found roaches. We took one to the front counter. The owners disposed of it, said “what roach,” and wouldn’t refund all our money because we had booked online. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
