Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Annapolis, MD

This stay was horrible. My sister and I were getting breakfast when she noticed the attendant recording me on her personal phone while I was in my pajamas. When my sister pointed out where she was filming, the attendant physically blocked her path. After that, the attendant came over and gestured toward the plates I had. I felt violated by being recorded and discriminated against because I’m a big girl who likes to eat. Other guests saw what happened, and we left before breakfast was over. I’ve stayed here several times. The rooms are nice, most staff are nice, and Ashley at the front desk is always great and smiling. The hot tub and pool are great, and the location is nice. There aren’t cameras in the breakfast room, but cameras cover the rest of the hotel. I called Choice Privileges about what happened, and a manager called me back. She said she’d been told the only interaction was the breakfast attendant saying breakfast was over. If anyone had looked into it before taking the employee’s word, checked the other cameras, and been less argumentative on the phone, they’d have seen we left before breakfast ended. The manager later said the attendant was concerned about food for other guests and that the policy would change so nobody could take food to their room. That was a different explanation from saying we were there after breakfast, and it sounded to me like an admission that the issue was about food and the attendant had lied. I eventually got my security deposit back after realizing I was somehow charged for the room even though I used points. I asked to have my points returned at least because of what happened. We ended the second call without a resolution. I still haven’t received my points back or another call.
