Cherise at the front desk got me moved quickly when the toilet in my first room wouldn’t flush properly and the TV remote was missing. An engineer couldn’t fix the toilet, so she gave me the option of a different room, and staff also kept me updated by text about the bathroom issue. Check-in was easy and quick, and the facility, rooms, and bathrooms were clean. The AC worked great in both rooms. The second room had a faint urine smell, though it wasn’t enough to make me ask to move again. The room, beds, and bathroom were still clean. I had a great overall experience and would return.

The area felt quiet and safe, and the beds were comfortable and clean. Our bathroom needed a little repair, and there were lots of chips in the wall paint. The down button for the elevator on the third floor didn’t work either.

Don’t stay here if you need sleep. During our six-night visit, construction across from our room kept going until 11 pm on Wednesday. The fire alarm system also seems faulty: there was a false alarm before 7 am Sunday, then one at 11 pm Thursday and another at 6 am. Staff didn’t say anything. I spoke with firefighters who didn’t seem happy about their frequent trips to the hotel. A lot of the property is in disrepair, the elevator sounds like it’s about to fail, and the free breakfast is below par. We stayed here two years ago and it was fine, but it certainly isn’t now. We would’ve moved, but everything was booked for graduation season.

The room seemed nice at first, but a couple of hours after we brought in a cake for my girlfriend’s birthday, ants were crawling on it. We didn’t even get to cut the cake. I went to the desk to let the receptionist know, and she sent a man up to spray poison while all our things were still in the room. Nobody offered compensation or even a simple apology. This clearly wasn’t a first occurrence. I’m never coming back.

We arrived around 9 pm, exhausted from a very long travel day, expecting the suite and kitchenette we’d booked to be ready. The kitchen was dirty: thick dust on the fridge, a sticky counter, dirty cabinet handles, and unknown smudges around where the handles attach. The TV remotes were caked with grime. I didn’t want to touch anything. Finding that mess on arrival is unacceptable. This is why I’ll be booking a VRBO or Airbnb from now on.
