Best Western Parsons Inn

The room was in rough shape when I arrived: stains on the bed and pillows, marks on the surfaces, and hair in the bathtub. I also had a frustrating billing problem after my one-night stay. I was charged twice, $197.07 each time, and spent more than an hour at the desk trying to sort it out. Even after I showed proof of both transactions, staff said they couldn’t refund one charge. I kept pushing and finally got the refund after asking for the staff member’s name. Based on the cleanliness and service I experienced, I can’t recommend this hotel. I hope they take the feedback seriously and improve.

The complimentary breakfast was delicious, though it ends at 8:30 am, not 9. We had such a lovely stay, and even my 8 month old granddaughter Eleanor had fun. The staff were amazing.

The next morning, I found long black hair in the food, so I skipped breakfast. It was only open for an hour, and they put the sausage and eggs away in Tupperware to use the next day. Staff were rude, too. The night before, we’d checked in after a long drive hoping to nap before our plans, but people were banging and yelling at a door nearby, and it sounded like someone was trying to kick it in. When I went to complain, I learned it was an employee’s room where they were staying with family. It felt more like an apartment building than a motel. We weren’t happy with the stay, and I’m not sure I’d book again.

Everything in the room was clean and working, and it was a comfortable temperature. The room and bathroom were both clean, with plenty of towels. We were near the entrance, and check-in was quick with a polite desk attendant. I’d recommend it, and would stay again if I’m passing through.
