Hyatt Place Pasadena

The pool was just the right temperature, and we could see wild parrots that frequent the area. Breakfast was better than I expected, with a range of tasty favorites. The lobby is beautiful and the rooms are spacious, which set this Hyatt Place apart from any other I've stayed at.

The breakfast was fresh, varied, and well prepared, and the hotel had a peaceful, welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. Staff were kind, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout. My modern, well-kept room had everything I needed, including complimentary bottled water, a clean workspace, and excellent Wi-Fi. I also liked the impressive facilities, especially the well-equipped gym and relaxing lounge. I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend it for business travelers, couples, or families.

I thought this might be a brand-new Hyatt property, but a friendly front desk worker told me the Hyatt Place has been here for six years. The lobby is beautifully decorated and feels like a higher-class property, a nice touch. Parking indoors was easy, with elevators straight up to the lobby or rooms. The rooms were spotless, with no hair or dust, and smelled clean rather than musty. The AC worked well. The gym is relatively small but simple and effective, with towels and filtered water. There's also a cute little pool we didn't use, plus a fire pit and life-size chess set. We only had breakfast one morning and arrived right when it opened. The spread was as good as you'd expect from a buffet at this level: yogurt with different granola and dry toppings, fresh fruit, toast and bagels, pancakes, and scrambled eggs. Everything was clean and well laid out. I love Hyatt and Hyatt Place hotels, and this one may be the nicest Hyatt Place I've stayed in. Props to Hyatt. If the rest of your properties are like this, you'll be in excellent shape!

It's a solid place to stay in the Pasadena area, and the facilities are acceptable, though the rooms could use some TLC. The walls are so thin you can hear the people next door opening and closing their blinds. Breakfast is a decent option, but local families come in to eat, leaving hotel guests with limited choices. I saw that happen on several days during my stay.
