We left and found somewhere else to stay because the room felt unsafe and the whole experience was so loud and chaotic. There was only one small lock on the door, so we put the broken desk in front of it. The room hadn't been cleaned properly either, with a dirty toothbrush left behind. The halls were full of kids in diapers running around, playing loud music on speakers, charging their phones and tablets from the outlets, and even doing backflips against our door. The adults meant to be watching them were outside drinking and playing music late into the night. The manager had mentioned lots of kids and families were staying there when we arrived, which we didn't mind at first, but the place was completely chaotic. The manager also said we couldn't move to the other side of the hotel because it was a “housing unit.” There was no free breakfast, despite what was advertised. We stayed at the Rodeway Inn in New Jersey, and it was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and honestly pretty scary. This isn't a hotel, it's a housing unit. Don't stay here. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Stay away. The rooms are dirty and the staff are rude. Don't waste your time or money.

The room was uncomfortable as soon as we walked in, and there was a bad smell in the corridor. We had stayed at this hotel before with family, but I wouldn't recommend it. Wish we'd looked at the reviews before booking.

We needed to be near this location the next day, and there was nowhere else close enough, so we booked here. I only realized it was a shelter after seeing kids playing and going to school. That wasn't the problem, though. The misinformation when booking was. The person checking us in was really rude. The room was dirty and smelled strange enough that we had to light a candle and spray air freshener. There were ashes on the nightstand. The toilet flushed with hot water, the sink only had cold water, and the bathtub water was broken, so we had to use a bucket. There was no internet or cable, just local channels, and no breakfast. We weren't going to eat there anyway. We put our own sheets over theirs. It felt like a hotel from a scary movie. We left as quickly as we could the next day, then stayed at a restaurant until my appointment. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
