Hawaii Magic Skies B&B Farmstay

You can watch the sunrise, whales, and all sorts of animals from the lanai, including cows, goats, birds, pigs, and turkeys. Josh kept bringing us papaya and avocados, and the artwork and paintings around the place are lovely. The bed was really comfortable, and the location just outside Hilo worked perfectly for us. There’s a farmers market in town on Wednesdays and Saturdays, plenty of good restaurants, and a Safeway. Cost.U.Less is like a small Costco, with lots of Kirkland items and no membership needed. Two Sisters Kitchen has great moochi. The place is so unique, and the construction is wow. Josh works hard and does a great job. We really enjoyed him. It’s so worth it, thanks Josh!

We liked having a nice view to sit and enjoy in the comfortable common areas. The rooms are roomy and each one has its own personality and decor. Everything was spotlessly clean, and being able to borrow snorkel gear was a nice extra. It’s a little outside town, but that was no problem with a car, and worth it for the stay.

A farm with a hot tub and rec room, plus a full kitchen with everything needed for cooking. The rooms are lovely, there’s an ocean view, and beautiful teak throughout. The carvings on every wall make the place feel like a masterpiece. Such a special and beautiful place to stay!

We spent six nights here in May 2025, and the setting was a big part of the magic. From the upper patio we had our coffee while watching cows, goats, sheep, and chickens below, with the ocean and jungle beyond the farm. The property is gorgeous, and the art and decor are spectacular. Our room felt private, and we hardly crossed paths with the other guests. The house was set up so thoughtfully that we had everything we needed. It’s also conveniently located in Hilo, just minutes from most activities. My husband and I loved our stay and highly recommend Magic Skies if you’re visiting this area.
