Rodeway Inn Pauls Valley

I enjoyed my stay, and having coffee brewed right in my room was great. I didn't have to go out looking for it. The sink only had hot water, but I'm not complaining.

Big rooms, comfortable beds, and the AC worked great. The owners are very friendly, and breakfast includes waffles, cereal, and a couple of other things. It's near the interstate and there are several places to eat nearby. I'd recommend staying here.

The front concierge was kind and got me a room without any trouble when my truck's serpentine belt broke around 1am. The room, though, was in really bad repair. There were holes in the couch and wall, the showerhead was loose enough that I was afraid to move it much, and the fridge was frozen over and barely worked. At 8am, housekeeping woke me by banging on the door and yelling. I said no thanks, but they came back a few moments later, banging and shouting until I got up and opened it. Then they insisted I tell them whether I was staying or checking out, and said, “I'll be back at 11 then.” Very rude. After that, they kept yelling outside the room to other people.

The guy at the front desk was really nice and helpful. We couldn't get into the first room he gave us, and I believe someone was already in there. The second room was by itself next to the rooms under construction, but it was quiet.
