Nicollet Island Inn

The restaurant and its service were a highlight, with very good food that was carefully prepared and full of flavor. Everyone we met was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The Nicollet Island Inn has a calm, homey atmosphere, and my room was comfortable and full of character. It’s wonderfully peaceful by the river while still only minutes from downtown Minneapolis. I’d happily come back and recommend it to anyone after a charming, quiet city stay with good dining.

You can walk to all kinds of shops, bars, and restaurants from here, and downtown is only a few miles away. The rooms were comfortable and quiet enough to keep most city noise out. It’s a little island hideaway right in the busy center of the city. The historic building has an elegant but understated exterior, and inside is one of the best restaurants in the metro area. Brad made our Saturday night meal even more fun. He was attentive without rushing us, even with all the chaos, and shared some entertaining stories. He knew the menu and drinks well and even told us about upcoming restaurant events. We’ll ask for him if we return. Great food and atmosphere, too!

We had around 60 guests for our son’s rehearsal dinner, using both the Island room and St. Anthony room at the Nicolett Island Inn. The food was amazing, and I heard plenty of compliments about the atmosphere and the short ribs. Getting the event organized was easy thanks to the Inn’s staff, especially Jennifer, the events coordinator. She handled everything smoothly and paid close attention to details. Thanks to Jennifer and the whole team for making the dinner special for my son and daughter-in-law. We were very pleased and highly recommend the Nicolett Island Inn for rehearsal dinners and wedding events.
