Hyatt Centric Downtown Minneapolis

Our 14th-floor suite was beautiful, with soft towels and robes and a great bed. Parking was easy, too. Thanks to Hyatt for a lovely staycation. 10/10, we’ll be back soon! I had more room videos to share, but it won’t let me add videos 😞

We had a good breakfast on our last morning, and everyone on staff was friendly. The old-fashioned character of the building is charming, and the gym is spacious and luxurious. We paid a little extra for a corner room and got an amazing view. I’d definitely stay again.

Zac at the bar was awesome, and Porter was amazing too. Everyone working here was genuinely nice and accommodating. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and they brought up anything we asked for right away. Get a corner room if you want a cool city view. Highly recommend staying here.

The building is beautiful and has lots of amenities, but I had a disturbing experience after taking a bath in room 610. I rested my face on the tub’s edge to relax for a bit. On checkout day it was intensely itchy, and over the next 12 hours it became bumpy and red. Then blisters broke open and formed yellow crusts. I developed impetigo on my face. I can’t stop thinking that bacteria from an unknown body part or fluid may have transferred to the area near my mouth because the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. That thought is especially upsetting because impetigo can survive on surfaces for MONTHS without a host. I don’t know what to say about the staff. I haven’t spoken with them since reporting this. I tried contacting management several times, but the only responses I got were snarky comments, an email that seemed entirely generated by chat gpt, or an answering machine. I don’t understand why they asked me to share my medical records and what I felt was more than enough evidence and a timeline, then ignored me for weeks. I hope someone can at least learn from my mistake.
