Station Inn Pawling

The sound traveled through the rooms pretty clearly, so we could hear people coming and going and talking. Luckily everyone respected the 10:00 quiet time. A train horn woke us at 12:07AM. Parking overnight in the designated CVS spots was a bit tricky, though the snow may have been part of it. Our standard room was very small, but it did the job for one night, and both the room and building were very clean. The espresso machine was excellent. We were in town for a show at Daryl’s House, just 4 mins away, and the location was perfect. Being right in town also meant we could visit the shops and Bakeries the next morning. Almost 5/5.

The location is hard to beat. It's close to everything, yet we didn't hear any street noise. I like having dinner at McKinney & Doyle and coffee the next morning at Sunflour Bakery. I've stayed at the Station Inn Pawling several times over the past year, and every visit has been flawless. Staff communication is easy, rooms are always spotless and modern, and the beds are so cozy. I still want to know how they get the sheets just right and the mattress firmness so perfect. I'm so glad I found this place!

We stayed one night in a Deluxe Queen in the 1894 House, and the bed was SO comfortable. The terrace is small but nice for two, though there's very little separating it from the neighboring room's terrace, so we met our neighbors. The train is audible, but it didn't bother me as a sound sleeper, and my husband managed with earplugs. The location was great too. We had a lovely dinner at a nearby restaurant and a delicious breakfast at a backery.

For our wedding, we stayed in the purple room at The Chapman House, the sister hotel of the Station inn. It was ideal for getting ready: the room was huge, with plenty of space for me, all the bridesmaids, and family who stopped by. The light and room size worked beautifully for our photographers, and we were all ready right on time. Susan, the owner, even came to check on us, which was a thoughtful touch. We highly recommend the Purple Room at The Chapman House!
