Majestic Mountain Inn

The staff were excellent, and there's a delicious steakhouse next door called Fargo’s. It's a cute, quiet little resort with a fireplace in the room, plus a clean space and a comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was just okay. I'll stay there again next time I'm in Payson.

We loved the quiet patio, the nearby family restaurants, and the friendly people at both check-in and checkout. The room was a great deal, clean and beautiful, with an updated look even though the building is clearly older. The KCup machine made it easy to get a quick coffee or hot chocolate in the morning. They also keep basic things like toothpaste, ibuprofen, and Red Bull available to buy. I highly recommend it.

We've stayed here regularly for 20 Years, and the real fireplaces are what brought us back. After our anniversary weekend, we were shocked to find them gone. Every King Deluxe Room now has glow-in-the-dark fake electric fire logs, not a real fireplace. They recently pulled out all the real ones, yet are STILL ADVERTISING REAL FIREPLACES. Shame on them for this bait and switch and false advertising. Their website lies. It describes “Majestic Mountain Inn” as having “The Luxury King Bed with Jacuzzi & Fireplace” as its premier romantic option for couples.

The breakfast was really good, and we decided this would be a great place to come back to. They had biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, hash browns, eggs, a waffle iron, cereals, oatmeal with mix-ins, toast, juice, coffee, and milk. The lobby also has a list of places to eat and shop. My husband and I needed a quick break from regular life, and this was just right, only 1.5 hours from Gilbert. We booked the luxury room with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Night one was relaxing. After a quick check-in, we unpacked, picked up dinner from one of the many nearby food options, and brought it back. The room had a fridge. We spent some time in the jacuzzi, slept great, and woke up feeling like it was exactly what we needed.
